This is a really fun way to serve pizza. Kids love it, but it is fun for adults, too. Great party food.
600 grams (1.5 pounds) pizza dough
½ teaspoon pizza seasoning (dried oregano, basil, etc)
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup shredded mozzarella
½ cup grated Parmesan
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ cup pizza sauce for dipping
1) Pre-heat oven to 180C (350F).
2) Shape small pieces of the dough into balls about the size of ping pong balls. Place half of the balls into a non-stick bundt cake or angel food cake pan that has been sprayed well with Pam. Sprinkle on half of the seasoning and cheeses. Repeat with the rest of the dough balls and finally the remaining seasonings and cheeses. Drizzle olive oil on top.
3) Place onto the middle rack of the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes (this was baked in a convection oven-- the time may need to be a bit longer in a regular oven). Remove from oven, run the tip of a knife around the baked pull-apart ‘wreath’ to loosen it, then turn upside down onto a plate and flip back over so that the bumpy side is up. Serve with the tomato dipping sauce in a small bowl in the center of the pizza wreath.
